We use synthetic leather and thus consciously avoid animal leather. This is not only more durable and hard-wearing, but also more animal-friendly. Although it is not a natural product, we ensure less waste (due to possible irregularities in animal leather) during production and a longer durability of your desk mat.

RPET stands for recycled polyethylene terephthalate, the type of plastic most reusable bottles are made of. The used PET bottles undergo a special process in which they are cleaned, heated and granulated into small flakes that can be further processed into robust fibers. This reduces the already existing mountains of waste instead of producing new plastic waste. The material is not plastic-free but instead upcycled. Hence it has a better eco-balance than most synthetic fibers and also causes significantly less microplastic.
